DAYTON — Crews are working to clean up following the massive Gem City Shine block party, which saw more than 20,000 people packing into the Oregon District on Sunday to listen to performances from stars including Dave Chappelle, Stevie Wonder, Chance the Rapper, Talib Kweli and Teyana Taylor.

As the crowds dispersed, the streets were covered in trampled plastic bottles and cans. According to WHIO reporter James Rider, “in the true spirit of the night,” party-goers began helping clean up and pile trash to make it easier to clean.
WHIO reporter Kayla Courvell reported from the Oregon district that crews have packed up the stage, and cleaning is nearly finished.
